Theories on Dunkelzhan's Death

There are plenty of thoughts running around about the death of the late President, and apparently several crackpot groups who want to claim credit for it. But there is still very little known about how Dunkelzhan was killed. So to kick off this thrill ride, I've got the few known facts about the actual bombing.

1. The big D unexpectedly left a scheduled inauguration party at the Watergate hotel, departing twenty-one minutes earlier than his staff had originally planned.

2. Dunkelzhan received a phone call immediately before he left the Watergate.

3. As his limousine drove away from the hotel, a device apparently buried under the street exploded.

4. The explosion destroyed the limousine, along with the security personnel escorting the vehicle. Their bodies were recovered; no trace of Dunkelzhan's body or the driver's body has yet turned up, nor has any trace of them been found or reported.

5. Above the site of the explosion there has appeared a mysterious magical phenomenon that has so far resisted all attempts at definition or analysis.

Beyond that, the why's and wherefores are up for grabs. Have at.

So I'm hearing what? It wasn't a bomb but an astral cannon that made DZ's limo achieve escape velocity in the astral direction? Man, He's going to be pissed when he gets back in five-billion years.

Let me know if they discover any remains of the 'device' that was supposed to have been buried in the road 'cuz I'm betting not.

i dont think we will find any device at the sight of the explosion but we will just have to wait and see on this one I have theories but it will take personal inspection to be more certain.

I know some people in the Paranormal Investigations branch who were looking into the astral phenomena above the explosion. Seems that at least one astral projecting investigator's astral form was sucked into the rift and never came back. Needless to say the poor man's body died without his astral essence. But that does lend itself to the theory that Dunkelzahn's astral form was taken into this astral whatever-it-is.

OK. Note to self: don't go to Washington. I would really like someone to reasure me that these astral rifts won't start popping up everywhere.

The astral rift... if that IS what it is, only affected an astral form of an astrally projecting mage. No one who has approached it physically has been harmed in any way that we've heard of. Of course, the feds ARE keeping a tight lid on things.
