Doc Wagon Hiring Temps
For the Run-impaired, here's an alternative where you still get to shoot at things and make money, without having to resort to a Johnson.
Doc Wagon, the UCAS premier health care and threat response provider is hiring temporary response personnel (TRP's) to work on their high-threat response teams. Due to the rising demand on Doc Wagon, and especially with the holidays coming up they expect to be busy.
They pay 1,000 Nuyen a week. All you need is a SIN (or fake SIN that can hold up under inspection), show some skills, and you're good to go.
The job primarily entails protecting the paramedics in hot situations. But it's still probably safer than your average shadowrun.

It seems better than hunting ghouls, at any rate...

Re: Doc Wagon Hiring Temps
Doc Wagon does indeed use rigged vehicals.
Primarily High Threat Response teams uses modified Citymasters. These are equipped with standard medical acoutrements, treatment area, and fold-out seats for you, the hired gun. The turret mounts twin Light Machine guns... loaded with gel rounds of course. We wouldn't want to HURT anyone while saving lives after all.
Their armor is quite good at about a rating of 6. The newer 2057 versions are slightly better than the old 2055 models.
For more... harrowing, expeditions, they offer Osprey II's for your general arial VTOL needs. Though a bit more cramped than the Citymasters, they do get places more quickly and efficiently.

Re: Doc Wagon Hiring Temps
I'd like to point out that being hired as a TRP also requires a two-to-three-week training course. So make sure your rent is paid up beforehand.
And as you ARE working for a megacorp, you have to follow procedure or you're gonna get some flak and/or possibly, fired, if you screw around.
The pay may be higher than Dancer says too. Depends on the shift, and the calls you go on. There can be bonuses if you do a stellar job.
